Since 1945, Duvall Homes has taken pride in recognizing that adults with special needs we serve, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, have challenges and the key component for achieving the greatest level of independence and highest quality of life is by developing an individualized plan for each resident and Day Training participant.
The term developmental disability can include several types of conditions including, but not limited to: Autism, Down syndrome, Asperger’s syndrome, Cerebral palsy and Epilepsy. Many states use different definitions for developmental disabilities based on the federal law. Many individuals with an intellectual disability will also meet the definition of developmental disability.
We recognize that physical, cognitive and social challenges of a loved one, which are chronic in nature, can be frustrating and overwhelming for a family member. This is where the professional experts at Duvall Homes are here to help you the parent, the sibling, guardian or caregiver. With more than 130 trained and certified employees – each with an average of 10+ years experience (many with more than 20 years experience), we are here to help you serve and empower your loved one who is in our care so we all, together, can discover new confidence, capabilities and fulfillment in our daily lives.
We achieve these successes through proven, step-by-step processes that are based on having a vision, specific goals and a unique plan for each and every individual.
